GREAT ITALIAN TRADITION

  • Ottorino Ambrosi, following the steps of his father who traded agricultural products, founded the Ambrosi company, starting with butter and cheese production.

  • Ambrosi’s principal activity is the aging and marketing of Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano.

  • Ambrosi Group is one of the first Italian companies to invest in consumer packaging of its cheeses to meet the demand of the flourishing supermarket trade.

  • in conjunction with the evolution of modern retailing, Ambrosi focuses its attention on the most suitable technologies for guaranteeing the best possible preservation of flavour and other organoleptic properties of the cheeses.

  • The production, aging and packaging activities of hard cheese and butter is transferred to the Castenedolo plant.

  • Giuseppe Ambrosi becomes president of Ambrosi Group, starting the international growth strategy.

  • Ambrosi launches a subsidiary in France.

  • Ambrosi Food USA is created with the vision of bringing its history, expertise and tradition to North America.

  • Ambrosi acquires Abele Bertozzi Spa, an historic Parmigiano Reggiano company founded in 1901 in the heart of Parma.

Thanks to Ambrosi USA, retailers and distributors can now have access to a wide assortment of fine Italian cheeses available directly in the USA.
